Barry L. Seiller,
M.D. is the Founder of The Eye Care Center of Lake County. Dr.
Seiller received his Medical Degree at the Stritch School of
Medicine, Loyola University. Dr. Seiller has been serving patients
in the Chicagoland area for over 25 years.
Dr. Seiller has
been using lasers to treat eye diseases and cataracts for many
years and since its F.D.A. approval in 1991 he has been using
the excimer laser to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism.
Dr. Seiller is also the Founder and Medical Director of the Visual
Fitness Institute as well as the Low Vision Rehabilitation Center.
He is recognized throughout the Chicago area for his experience
in ophthalmic surgery including the excimer laser for vision
correction.
Dr. Seiller is
involved in many civic organizations including Little Fort Lions
Club, and serves as the President of Marathon Charities, Inc.
and Chairman of the Board, Lake County Races Benefiting the Illinois
Special Olympics. Dr. Seiller is the Director of visual performance
to the U.S. Olympic Ski Team, Snowboard Team, Luge Team and the
Bobsled Team.
Dr. Seiller is
also a member of many professional associations including the
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Seiller
lectures and publishes especially in the area of vision correction
for athletes and sports vision.
