Bruce R. Cassidy, M.D.
Bruce R. Cassidy, M.D., is a
founder of Maine's first fully accredited outpatient eye surgery
center. With over 22 years practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Cassidy
has performed close to 2000 ophthalmic laser treatments since
1990. Along with partners Drs. Serrage and Holt, Dr. Cassidy
was the first. In the state to introduce LASIK surgery.
As one of only two Maine physicians certified by the American
Board of Eye Surgeons in cataract surgery, Dr. Cassidy has been
awarded mini-fellowships for his work with Dr. Charles Casebeer
and Dr. Steven Slade, experts internationally recognized for
their advancement of RK and LASIK techniques.
A widely recognized innovator and expert in ophthalmic surgery,
Dr. Cassidy is the assistant division director of ophthalmology
at Maine Medical Center and an assistant clinical associate professor
of ophthalmology at the University of Vermont. He is a member
of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society
for Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society
of Refractive Surgery. Dr. Cassidy is certified by the American
Board of Ophthalmology. A Maine native, he received his medical
degree from Albany Medical College and trained in ophthalmology
at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Dr. Cassidy
completed a fellowship in functional and reconstructive ophthalmic
surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston.
Dr. Cassidy is committed to bringing the latest innovations in
vision correction and ophthalmic surgery to his patients at the
Eyecare Medical Group.

William S. Holt, M.D.
William S. Holt, M.D., is a widely-respected
expert in ophthalmic surgery. He is president of the Eyecare
Medical Group, which pioneered advanced surgical techniques for
cataracts, glaucoma and vision correction in Maine. With 25 years
of experience in ophthalmology, Dr. Holt has performed nearly
3500 laser treatments since 1990, including over 500 LASIK procedures.
Dr. Holt is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and trained
in ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary,
Boston, where he completed a fellowship in retinal disease. He
is board-certified in ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology. To bring the latest innovations in
vision correction and ophthalmic medicine to his patients, Dr.
Holt maintains an extensive continuing education schedule in
addition to his active practice.

Elizabeth G. Serrage, M.D.
Elizabeth G. Serrage, M.D. brings
nearly 30 years of experience in ophthalmology to her patients
at the Eyecare Medical Group. A recognized expert in advanced
surgical techniques for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness
and astigmatism, Dr. Serrage was the first to perform laser refractive
vision correction surgery in Maine. She has performed over 2800
ophthalmic laser treatments since 1990, including 1500 LASIK
procedures.
Dr. Serrage received her medical degree from the State University
of New York at Buffalo and trained in ophthalmology at Denver
General Hospital in Colorado. She is board-certified in ophthalmology
and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. With
specialized training in refractive surgery, Dr. Serrage is also
certified by the American Board of Eye Surgery as a subspecialist
in cataract surgery. A former Chief of Ophthalmology at Mercy
Hospital, Portland, Dr. Serrage maintains an extensive continuing
education schedule to bring the latest innovations in vision
correction and ophthalmic surgery to her patients.
